Will Taiwo Awoniyi thrive in the Premier League?

     Nigerian Striker Taiwo Awoniyi has made a name for himself in the German Club, Union Berlin. He has amassed 20 Goals and 5 Assist in his 42 appearances for the Club. This has made him a popular Striker in the transfer market along with his Nigerian counterpart, Victor Osimhen and a host of other players.
   Awoniyi was originally a Liverpool Player and after being sent on Loan several times (For clubs like; Frankfurt, Gent, Mainz, NEC & Royal Excel Mouscron), he was finally sold to Union Berlin were he has thrived more than his other performances in the previous clubs he has played for . This surge of the Nigerian Striker has seen a lot of Transfer interests from different Clubs this summer and according to reports, recently promoted Premier League side Nottingham forest are the leading the race for his signature and are willing to break their Club transfer record and pay £17.5m to acquire his services. Now this begs the question that this post seeks to answer "Will he Perform in the Premier League?" 

     They are a lot of factors that will affect the performance of Awoniyi and one of them is the fact that Nottingham forest are a recently promoted club and this present team haven't had a premier League experience at all, which will limit a lot of their capabilities judging from the fact that most championship clubs that are Promoted usually struggle in the PL  and are then relegated back to the Championship.
    Also, Awoniyi's ability to adapt will be put into test. Most players especially Strikers that have come from the BUNDESLIGA, Serie A, Ligue 1 to the Premier League have all struggled to adapt and make their mark (e.g Werner, Lukaku, Martial, Lacazette etc) in the Premier League. So Awoniyi will have to adapt to the tempo and pace of plays in the Premier League and this will affect his performance either negatively or positively. 
     If he chooses to move to a Premier League club that will probably struggle this season and leave Union Berlin that are in a good position in the BUNDESLIGA and also in the Europa Conference League, this will reduce his value and also hinder him from performing in the European Stage. These are like the major factors I feel might affect Taiwo Awoniyi's move to Nottingham forest and even if he  goes to the club, I really hope he shows how good he is in the Premier League because they will be a lot challenges.

   A lot of deals and transfers has happened within a two day span from the last Post.
